After two months of operating under the new administrative boundaries, all activities of the city took place smoothly and effectively, especially the work of receiving and handling administrative procedures for the people.

According to regulations, documents issued by competent authorities to individuals, citizens and organizations before the reorganization according to the old administrative unit, if not expired, can continue to be used.

The conversion of documents for individuals and organizations due to changes in administrative unit boundaries is facilitated by local authorities without any arising fees or charges.

Therefore, immediately after merging, the Party Committees and People's Committees of wards and communes actively communicated so that people could grasp the information and avoid difficulties in handling work.

To faciliate people, after merging, Bac Giang city still maintains the one-stop division at two addresses (Tan Tien ward and Nham Bien ward) until June 30, 2025.

Nguyen Tien Tu, Deputy Chief of Office of the City People's Council - People's Committee said the city's one-stop division in Nham Bien ward only receives 5 administrative procedures, so people still need to visit the headquarter in Tan Tien ward to resolve others.

After the merging, bigger population leads to more application so the unit added more waiting seats; assigned 2 officers to be on duty to support people in filling out information, declaring applications and submitting applications online.

To smoothly run all activities, the City Party Committee and People's Committee directed wards, communes and specialized agencies to absolutely not neglect their work, ensure continuous, effective, and efficient operations from the first day and month together with promoting digital transformation.

After more than 2 months, the reception and settlement of administrative procedures for organizations and citizens in the city were quite smooth.

Since the beginning of the year, the one-stop-shop divisions at all levels in the city have received more than 7,000 records (2,059 records at the city level; the rest at the commune level), 93% of which were handled on-time and ahead of the due date, while the remaining are in the process of settlement.

According to the leader of the City Department of Internal Affairs Phan Van Giang, after the merging, the official, civil servants and public employees actively improved their knowledge and working skills.

In particular, the City Party Committee and People's Committee organized inspection teams to grasp the situation in wards and communes to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles.

“The consistent guiding viewpoint of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee is that all work must be resolved effectively. Particularly, work directly related to the people must be prioritized and resolved first to make them satisfied,” Giang emphasized.
