The event was organised by the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA), Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee, and the Chemical Corps of the Ministry of National Defence, with the support of various central and local agencies.

The delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

The exhibition showcases over 300 photos, documents, and artifacts highlighting the devastating impact of Agent Orange used by the US during the Viet Nam’s resistance, the country’s ongoing efforts to address its aftermath, and the movement to seek justice for victims.

The content is presented in themed sections: the Agent Orange disaster and its lingering pain; Viet Nam’s efforts to recover from chemical warfare; VAVA’s advocacy and justice campaigns; inspiring stories of victims overcoming adversity; nationwide support initiatives; Bac Giang’s and Military Region 1’s assistance for victims; and NACCET’s (National Action Centre for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment) projects to improve the lives of people with disabilities in heavily affected provinces.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, VAVA President, emphasised the importance of international solidarity in alleviating victims’ suffering and combating the proliferation of chemical and mass destruction weapons.

Local leaders reaffirmed Bac Giang’s commitment to supporting Agent Orange victims through advocacy and care programmes. On this occasion, VAVA and its partners donated over 800 million VND (approximately 31,000 USD) to build homes, offer gifts, and provide livelihoods for affected families.

The exhibition runs until June 27, 2025, at the Bac Giang Provincial Museum and is also available online at trienlamdacam.vn, binhchunghoahoc.vn, and vava.org.vn.
