The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day – a milestone of great national significance – making this year’s holiday particularly meaningful.

Ha Noi will host numerous events to celebrate National Day on September 2.

A survey found that 41% of Vietnamese travellers wish to travel during the holiday to rest and bond with loved ones and enjoy new experiences.

According to the latest data from Booking.com, between August 29 and September 3, 2025, the most-searched domestic destinations reflect Vietnamese travellers’ diverse travel preferences, from vibrant cultural and historical hubs to tranquil beaches and cool-climate retreats.

Topping the list, Ha Noi attracts visitors with a series of lively events and festivals, drawing not only individual travellers but also families and groups of friends.

With 31% of holidaymakers choosing to travel to take part in special events, the capital has become a centre for meaningful cultural experiences.

Da Nang, ranked second, boasts turquoise beaches, white sands, and a gentle pace of life. The city offers both relaxation and exploration, from its serene beaches to famous attractions such as Ba Na Hills and Son Tra Peninsula.

In third place is Da Lat, the favourite choice of 56% of Vietnamese travellers seeking a trip close to nature. The “city of a thousand flowers” captivates visitors with its fresh, cool air, romantic landscapes, and an abundance of outdoor activities.

Other destinations on the list include Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Hue, Hoi An, Phu Quoc, Mui Ne, and Ho Chi Minh City.
