Hanoi-styled ‘pho’ and the craft of tailoring Ao Dai in Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province, have recently been recognised as national intangible cultural heritages by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
According to historical records, ‘pho’ first appeared in Hanoi in the early 20th century. Between 1907 and 1910, the dish began to be sold by street vendors across the corners of Hanoi.

As of 2023, ‘pho’ is served in nearly 700 food establishments across the capital city, with the most popular of them being located in the districts of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, and Hai Ba Trung.
Following in the footsteps of Hanoians and Vietnamese expatriates, pho has been promoted around the world, thus establishing a brand for Vietnamese cuisine. It has won the hearts of domestic and foreign gourmets alike.

Currently, “Ao Dai Hue” has become a special tourism product that has left a good impression on domestic and foreign visitors, contributing to preserving and promoting the nation’s traditional cultural values.
BAC GIANG- There are 6 special national relic sites and 32 relics belonging to 3 northern provinces of Bac Giang, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong nominated in the dossier seeking recognition for the Complex of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscapes as a world heritage site by UNESCO. Of which, 2 relic sites of Bac Giang province including Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung district) and Bo Da pagoda (Viet Yen township) are in the list.

BAC GIANG - The 2024 mud ball wrestling festival in Van village, Van Ha commune, Viet Yen township (Bac Giang province) attracted thousands of people and tourists near and far. This is a unique festival because it is only held once every 4 years. The festival is the pride of the people in Van village and a national intangible cultural heritage.
The Nine Tripod Cauldrons, housed in the Hue Imperial Citadel in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, have been inscribed in the Memory of the World Register.
The train route linking Hue City in the central province of Thua Thien - Hue with nearby Da Nang City has served more than 27,600 passengers, including nearly 2,200 foreigners.
