Amid many challenges in the domestic and international economy, the province's industrial development investment attraction still achieved positive results in 2024.

Many large-scale investment projects were approved, including infrastructure investment projects in industrial parks and foreign direct investment (FDI) projects.

During 2021-2030 period, the Prime Minister approved for Bac Giang to plan a total of 29 industrial parks (IPs) and 63 industrial clusters (ICs).

In the list of IPs prioritized to be implemented in the period of 2022-2025, to date, the approval of the construction planning of 14 IPs has been basically completed; 6 IPs are under preparing stage for construction planning projects and one IP is under preparing stage for construction planning task.

Currently, the investors are submitting documents to request appraisal and approval of investment policies of 10 IPs with a total additional area of ​​more than 913.3 hectares.

In 2024, the Prime Minister approved 3 new IPs: Phuc Son (Tan Yen), Chau Minh - Bac Ly - Huong Lam phase 1 (Hiep Hoa), Hoa Yen (Viet Yen and Hiep Hoa) and 2 expanded IPs: Vietnam Korea (Viet Yen), Yen Son - Bac Lung (Luc Nam). Thus, Bac Giang has 11 IPs established with an approved land area of ​​over 2.7 thousand hectares.

The whole province currently has 55 ICs, 35 of which have had completed technical infrastructure and come into operation; 12 newly established ICs in 2022, 2023 are completing legal procedures and site clearance compensation.

In order to have a clean site for investors to build infrastructure in IPs and ICs on schedule, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee established a working group and a support team to urge the implementation of site clearance in IPs and ICs.

For each industrial park project, the province issued a specific site clearance plan, divided into several phases and required implementation in a "rolling" manner, with periodic meetings to review progress.

To implement the above direction, many localities established a Site Clearance Steering Committee headed by the Chairman of the District People's Committee or the Secretary of the District Party Committee directly monitoring and directing the implementation of the projects.

According to the representative of the provincial Industrial Park Management Board, to achieve the above goal, the unit continues to grasp and coordinate with localities and investors to speed up the progress of infrastructure projects in IPs and ICs, ensuring clean land to attract investment; remove difficulties and obstacles, call for and promote investment, and soon put projects into operation and effective exploitation.
