Bac Giang develops consuming system for cooperative products
BAC GIANG - Currently, the cooperatives in the northern province of Bac Giang have paid due attention to expanding facilities to introduce, display and sell products so as to meet the goal of promoting and bringing quality products closer to consumers, thereby connecting tourism development and spreading the image of Bac Giang.
At the end of December 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Alliances launched an area to display, introduce, promote and consume products under One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme (also known as Bac Giang OCOP Supermarket) on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Hoang Van Thu Ward (Bac Giang City).

The spacious and clean supermarket is about 200 square meters. The supermarket arranges shelves to ease the customers’ finding and taking of more than 500 items from fresh to processed agricultural products, medicinal herbs, craft village products... from over 70 cooperatives in the province and a number of cooperatives in other provinces.
For nearly 1 month of operation, Bac Giang OCOP Supermarket has been bustling with visitors coming to visit and shop. Some of the products that have been sold well include fresh vegetables and fruits, Chu noodles, Ven village tea, products from Danh mountain ginseng, sesame candy, peanut candy, processed chicken and pork among others.
To serve consumer needs during the Lunar New Year, the supermarket offers many beautiful and convenient gift baskets and gift boxes at reasonable prices.
Luu Chanh Herbal Plant Production Cooperative in Truong Son Commune (Luc Nam) sets up a 1,000 square meter facility to produce, introduce and display products next to Provincial Road 293, heading to Tay Yen Tu tourist destination (Son Dong), so it is convenient for customers, especially visitors for shopping.
In addition to the products of the Cooperative (golden flower tea, cordyceps, honey, lingzhi mushrooms), it also introduces and consumes products of more than 20 other Cooperatives in the province. To prepare for the festival season in early 2025, the Cooperative has designed a number of new designs and packaging to meet market demand and customer segments.
Realizing the effectiveness, some other units also established and expanded product introduction and consumption points.
Previously in 2020, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province supported 5 facilities to introduce and sell OCOP products in Yen The, Luc Nam, Viet Yen districts and Bac Giang city with a total budget of more than 430 million VND.
The Department of Industry and Trade supported 100 million VND to establish 2 points of product introduction in the community tourism area of Ven village (Yen The) and Tay Yen Tu spiritual-ecotourism complex (Son Dong).
Moreover, dozens of cooperatives in the province have rented locations or reserved land funds at their homes to display and introduce products.
To promote advantages and effectively exploit the values that such facilities bring, in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will further coordinate to organize trade promotion activities, connect supply and demand, link tourist destinations and travel agencies.
Also, the Department supports to improve the product quality, market mastery capacity, production and business operations for representatives of enterprises and cooperatives.
For the first time, Vietnam is showcasing its OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products at the prestigious AF-L'ARTIGIANO IN FIERA International Handicraft Fair 2024, held in Milan, Italy, from November 30 to December 8.
BAC GIANG – The Bac Giang provincial People's Committee has just approved the results of evaluation, classification and certification of products under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Programme in the first phase of 2024.

BAC GIANG - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has just coordinated to open 2024 Mekong Delta OCOP (One Commune One Product) product connection forum in Kien Giang province. Bac Giang province displays a booth to introduce a number of local OCOP products.
BAC GIANG - Thanh Hoa province launched a space to display and introduce agricultural, industrial and handicraft products of provinces and cities in the Northern region from August 16 – 18, including Bac Giang, Thai Binh, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen, Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh and Son La.
