Domestic revenue amounted to over 10.5 trillion VND, 67% of the annual plan and 150.8% year-on-year.

Several revenue categories performed strongly, including revenue from local state-owned enterprises reaching 74.1% of the plan; foreign-invested firms reaching 80.4% and import-export activities contributing 49.1%.

Some localities saw high collection rates, such as Luc Nam district (106.6%), Tan Yen (82.3%), Bac Giang city (over 71%) and and Viet Yen township (63%).

In recent months, authorities have focused efforts on administrative unit restructuring. As a result, many obstacles related to land clearance and public investment disbursement have been resolved.

The province has also implemented comprehensive measures to prevent revenue loss, contributing significantly to the higher-than-expected budget performance.

Bac Giang’s import-export tax revenue surges over 32%

BAC GIANG - By the end of the first quarter of this year, the Customs Branch of Region V collected more than 636 billion VND (27.6 million USD) in import and export taxes from 462 enterprises operating in Bac Giang province — an increase of over 32% compared to the same period last year. This figure represents more than 27% of the annual target.

Bac Giang’s domestic budget revenue in Q1 up 30.6%

BAC GIANG - According to the Tax Department of Region VI, in the first quarter of this year, the total domestic budget revenue of the northern province of Bac Giang reached more than 6.4 trillion VND (274.9 million USD), equal to nearly 41% of the annual estimate, up 30.6% over the same period last year.

According to the department, 130 foreign suppliers, including Google and Facebook, have registered, declared, and paid taxes through the electronic tax portal for foreign providers, contributing a total of 2.91 trillion VND (114 million USD).

 

Vietnam aims for 454 billion USD export revenue amidst global headwinds

Vietnam exported 65.2 billion USD worth of products in January-February, a 9.9% increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, imports totaled 62.9 billion USD, rising 16%, resulting in a trade surplus of 235 million USD.
