After nearly three years of evaluation by both AVAC Viet Nam Joint Stock Company and Indonesia, the AVAC ASF LIVE vaccine has been approved for use by the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture.

According to Le Toan Thang, Head of the Veterinary Medicines Management Department (Livestock and Veterinary Department), the successful export of the AVAC ASF LIVE vaccine to Indonesia further demonstrates the effectiveness of vaccines produced in Viet Nam, especially by AVAC Viet Nam.

It showcases the quality and efficacy in controlling African Swine Fever. Viet Nam’s success in controlling the disease also serves as proof of the trust in the quality of the ASF vaccine, further boosting its export potential.

Dr. Nguyen Van Diep, CEO of AVAC Viet Nam Joint Stock Company, shared that the export of the first batch of AVAC ASF LIVE vaccines to Indonesia is a testament to the superior quality of the product, having passed the rigorous technical evaluation of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture.

This achievement is not only a success for AVAC but also a significant step forward for Viet Nam's veterinary vaccine industry, reaffirming its competitive capacity in the global market based on scientific and technological strength.

So far, AVAC has supplied over 3.5 million doses of AVAC ASF LIVE vaccine to the market. Of which, approximately 3 million doses have been used within Viet Nam, effectively contributing to the control of African Swine Fever (ASF) on a wide scale.

Meanwhile, nearly 500,000 doses have been exported to the Philippines and Nigeria, receiving positive feedback from these markets.

Currently, the AVAC ASF LIVE vaccine is being registered in other countries, including India, Malaysia, Nepal, and Myanmar. To meet domestic and international demand, AVAC maintains a reserve of approximately 1.5 million doses, ready to supply in emergency situations.

Within Viet Nam, the AVAC ASF LIVE vaccine has been widely administered to commercial pig herds in various provinces. Practical results have shown that the vaccine is highly effective in ensuring safety, and there have been no reported cases of disease recurrence following vaccination.
