The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Quang Duong, a member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Organisation Commission, along with representatives of Department I under the commission. Senior officials from Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces were also present.

Under Decision No. 2522 dated November 14, 2025, the Party Secretariat relieved Son of his posts in Thai Nguyen, including Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, member of the Standing Board and member of the Executive Committee, and reassigned him to Bac Ninh, where he will serve as Deputy Secretary for the remainder of the 2025–2030 term.

Speaking at the event, Duong said Bac Ninh has set ambitious development targets in its first Party Congress for the 2025–2030 period. He urged the Standing Board, Executive Committee and local authorities to support him in fulfilling his duties in the new role.

In his acceptance speech, Son noted that Bac Ninh has recorded rapid and strong development in recent years, with its GRDP scale and growth rates consistently ranking among the top five provinces and cities nationwide.

He attributed these achievements to the combined efforts, unity and innovation of the political system, as well as contributions from citizens, businesses and generations of provincial leaders.

The new provincial leader pledged to adhere to the directions of the Central Organisation Commission, maintain close engagement with grassroots levels and work with the Standing Board and Executive Committee to implement the resolutions adopted at the provincial Party Congress.

He said he would strive to promote the province’s cultural identity and strengths, and contribute to building Bac Ninh into a centrally governed city before 2030.
