Recipients include medalists at international Olympiads, national top scorers in the 2025 high school graduation and university entrance exams, winners of science and technology competitions and students with excellent academic achievements.

Among them, 50 special scholarships were reserved for students from areas heavily affected by natural disasters in 2024.

Bac Ninh province had 20 students receiving Vallet scholarships in 2025, including seven from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, three from Ngo Si Lien High School and ten from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted.

The Vallet Scholarship Fund in Vietnam was established by Professor Odon Vallet — a Doctor of Law in France and Professor of Religious History at the Sorbonne University — through the “Rencontres du Vietnam” organization. It has become one of the largest and most enduring non-governmental scholarship programmes in the country.

Over the past 26 years, the fund has granted more than 55,000 scholarships with a total value of nearly 500 billion VND (about 22 million USD), nurturing dreams, encouraging the pursuit of knowledge and fostering young talent.

Many former recipients have voluntarily returned to contribute and sponsor new scholarships, creating a cycle of interaction and spreading the programme’s positive values.

In 2025, “Rencontres du Vietnam” and the Vallet Foundation will award scholarships to 2,200 outstanding students nationwide, worth more than 40 billion VND in total.
