Bac Giang City, Department of Education and Training lead in administrative reform index
BAC GIANG - The Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee has just announced the 2024 public administration reform (PAR) index of the district-level People's Committees and specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the assessment of the appraisal council, the index scores of departments, branches and localities increased compared to 2023 figure. The self-assessment results of the units were basically close to the appraisal results.

On the ranking table, there were fluctuations in the rankings of units and localities with efforts and breakthroughs such as: Department of Construction, Department of Transport, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Hiep Hoa district, Tan Yen district and Bac Giang city.
In the district, township and city block, after a year of falling in rank, Bac Giang city has returned to the leading position with an index of 90.60%, followed by Hiep Hoa district with 90.33%, up 4 places compared to 2023 and Tan Yen district with 89.99%. Son Dong district bottomed the list with 80.52%.
The Department of Education and Training topped the group of departments and branches with an index of 94.40%, up 2 places compared to 2023. The Department of Home Affairs ranked second with an index of 93.66% and the Department of Construction ranked third with an index of 92.98%. The Provincial Inspectorate ranks last with 71.81%.
The PAR Index is conducted on software to determine the PAR Index and sociological investigation methods based on many criteria such as direction and administration; development and implementation of legal documents; administrative procedure reform; reform of the state administrative apparatus and reform of the civil service regime among others.
BAC GIANG - According to the Bac Giang Provincial Public Administration Service Center, more than 127,700 people were interested in and interacted with the Bac Giang Public Administration Portal on Zalo in 11 months of 2024, including nearly 50,000 views of the posted articles.
BAC GIANG- Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee of Bac Giang province Nguyen Van Gau on November 6 had a meeting with the Standing Board of the Party Committee of Yen Dung district regarding implementation of its political tasks in 2024, results of administrative unit arrangement and preparation for the all-level party congress for the 2025-2030 tenure.
BAC GIANG - Implementing Resolution 1191/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated September 28, 2024 by the National Assembly’s Standing Committee regarding the reorganization of district- and commune-level administrative units in Bac Giang province for the 2023-2025 period, authorities at all levels and sectors in the province are taking the required steps to ensure these units operate effectively after the reorganization.
BAC GIANG - The Bac Giang City Party Committee on October 21 held a conference to disseminate and deploy the plan of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee on the implementation of National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution No. 1191/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated September 28, 2024 about the arrangement of administrative units at the district and commune levels of Bac Giang province during 2023 – 2025 period (Resolution No. 1191).
Vietnamese Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra and French Minister for Public Servants, Simplification and Transformation of Public Action Guillaume Kasbarian discussed cooperation programmes and signed bilateral cooperation documents at their meeting on October 4.
