Bac Giang city is among the localities with high results in public investment disbursement.

Its experience is to closely follow up the real situation at the grassroots level and direct to speed up progress of the project implementation and disbursement of public investment and national target programmes in 2024.

The provincial road 398B to Bac Giang city, the section crossing Lien Chung commune, Tan Yen district is being accelerated the construction progress.

Particularly, the municipal people’s committee issued the plan to implement 146 public investment projects in 2024, in which they selected 52 key projects with impacts on urban infrastructure and budget collection as a priority.

Chairman of the municipal people’s committee hosts weekly meetings to review the progress.

The municipal people’s committee will summarize and report to the standing board of the municipal party’s committee on the progress and obstacles facing the key projects of the province and the city to seek solutions for leadership and direction.

Besides, the municipal people’s committee requested investors to register for disbursement progress and time to submit settlement document of the public investment projects and make monthly report on implementation and disbursement results.

Based on the report and progress registration of the investors, leaders of the municipal people’s committee regularly review and accelerate the disbursement of public investment in 2024 while speeding up the projects scheduled for auction of land use rights in 2024.

To date, Bac Giang city has disbursed 930 billion VND (36.5 million USD), reaching 100 percent of the budget revenue allocated to the city for public investment, 100 percent of the national target programme and over 80 percent of the public investment capital in the year plan.

It is expected to fulfill 100 percent of the year plan by the end of December.

Some projects achieved high disbursement progress including the residential area project nearby Tran Hung Dao street, Da Mai ward (phase 1) and the technical infrastructure of Mai Cao residential area, Song Mai commune.

In Tan Yen district, the public investment plan in 2024 after adjustment is nearly 480 billion VND (18.85 million USD).

The district has implemented 96 projects with the disbursement value of some 436 billion VND (17.12 million USD), equal to 91 percent of the allocated capital. It is expected to fulfill 100 percent of the disbursement plan as of December 31.

In implementation of the Government’s Resolution No 01/NQ-CP dated January 5, 2024, orders and other resolutions of the Government on disbursement of public investment, Bac Giang province has directed related agencies to work out solutions for accelerating implementation and disbursement of the projects, strive to fulfil the public investment plan in 2024 at the highest rate.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, the total investment resources from the state budget under management of the province was over 10.5 trillion VND (412.3 million USD) as of November 20, 2024, of which the disbursement value reached nearly 62 percent against the plan.

With this result, Bac Giang has been listed in the group of localities with higher disbursement rate than the national average.
