He said 2025 was also the first year Bac Ninh implemented a new provincial administrative model following the reorganisation of administrative units and the final year of the province’s 2021–2025 five-year socio-economic development plan.
Despite the challenging context, the province had recorded significant achievements across multiple sectors under the comprehensive leadership of the provincial Party Committee, the close supervision of the PPC, the decisive direction of the provincial People’s Committee, and the consensus of residents and the business community.
Most of the province’s socio-economic targets for 2025 had been met, with 17 out of 18 indicators achieved or exceeded, many of them ranking among the top nationwide, he said.
Bac Ninh’s economic growth rate was estimated at 10.27%, placing it fifth nationwide, fourth in the Red River Delta region and among six localities across the country to record double-digit growth in 2025. Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) per capita was estimated at 5,852 USD, about 1.16 times the national average.
Bac Ninh had also made notable progress in cultural and social affairs, with policies for war veterans and beneficiaries, social welfare and poverty reduction implemented comprehensively. Living standards for local residents had continued to improve, while defence and local military tasks had been carried out in a coordinated and effective manner.
He stressed that the province’s achievements were the result of contributions from all segments of society, including Catholic priests and followers across Bac Ninh.
