Total domestic budget revenue reached nearly 47.3 trillion VND (2.07 billion USD), exceeding the provincial government’s annual estimate by around 3.2% and rising 4.6% from a year earlier.

Officials from the tax sector review revenue sources to urge organizations and individuals to make timely payments.

Land use fee collections amounted to more than 15.4 trillion VND, 66.3% higher than the target and more than tripling last year’s figure. Tax and fee revenues reached nearly 31.9 trillion VND, up 23.5% from the same period last year.

Major contributors included state-owned enterprises, foreign-invested companies, and centrally-managed state firms. Some of the top taxpayers were New Wing Interconnect Technology Co. in Van Trung Industrial Park, Hoa Phu Invest Co. in Hoa Phu Industrial Park, and Company 45 in Son Dong commune.

Authorities said the results reflected strong investment inflows that boosted business activity, alongside effective fiscal management and measures to ease capital access for businesses and residents.

The tax department has been carrying out revenue collection plans in line with directives from the Ministry of Finance, the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee. Monthly targets have been assigned to units across the sector.

Tax officials have also rolled out deferral and exemption policies on taxes and land rents, while tightening enforcement to ensure accurate and timely collections.

Anti-tax evasion measures have been strengthened, and proceeds from property auctions have also provided significant contributions to the state budget.

NA endorses 10% preferential tax rate for all press agencies

To affirm the Party and State’s commitment to supporting the press, the NA Standing Committee has adopted the government’s proposal to apply a uniform preferential corporate tax rate of 10% to all types of press. This move aligns with the current tax incentives for print newspapers.

Bac Giang’s import-export tax revenue surges over 32%

BAC GIANG - By the end of the first quarter of this year, the Customs Branch of Region V collected more than 636 billion VND (27.6 million USD) in import and export taxes from 462 enterprises operating in Bac Giang province — an increase of over 32% compared to the same period last year. This figure represents more than 27% of the annual target.

Nearly 43,000 tax refunds processed automatically in one week

Vietnam’s tax authorities officially launched an automated system for personal income tax refunds nationwide from April 3, 2025, applicable to the 2024 tax finalisation period. Within just seven days, the system processed 42,881 refund cases, totalling 229.3 billion VND (8.91 million USD).

Tax revenue from e-commerce surges

According to the department, 130 foreign suppliers, including Google and Facebook, have registered, declared, and paid taxes through the electronic tax portal for foreign providers, contributing a total of 2.91 trillion VND (114 million USD).
