Vietnam has six billionaires in Forbes’ latest global rich list
Vietnam has six billionaires after chairman of Masan Group Nguyen Dang Quang rejoining the Forbes’ latest list of the world’s richest individuals.
Under the Forbes World’s Billionaires List 2025 as of February 2 this year, Quang, who temporarily dropped off the ranking in early January 2025, made a comeback with his net worth rebounding to US$1 billion, placing him 2,718th on the list of the world’s richest people.

With Quang’s return, the Forbes’ latest list includes six Vietnamese billionaires again, instead of five, as on the previous list.
They are Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of Vingroup, Tran Dinh Long, chairman of Hoa Phat group, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, CEO of Vietjet Air, Tran Ba Duong, chairman of Thaco, Ho Hung Anh, chairman of Techcombank and Nguyen Dag Quang, chairman of Masan Group.
The combined net worth of the six individuals is 13.4 billion USD, down 500 million USD from Forbes' data in early April last year, but up about 800 million USD compared to the end of 2023.
The number of US dollar billionaires in Vietnam has fluctuated between five and six in recent years. Pham Nhat Vuong was the first Vietnamese US dollar billionaire to appear on the local stock market in 2011.
According to a Government resolution issued in May 2024, Vietnam aims to have at least ten billionaires and five of Asia’s most influential entrepreneurs by 2030.

BAC GIANG - According to the Industrial Parks Trade Union in Bac Giang province, after 9 day holiday for the Lunar New Year 2025 (from January 25 to February 2, 2025), all enterprises in the provincial industrial parks resumed normal operation on the morning of February 3, 2025 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year).
Labor export companies are shifting their focus to new markets such as Poland and Australia to find job opportunities for workers.
BAC GIANG - In the first days of the Lunar New Year, while most people are on holiday and return home to reunite with their families, thousands of laborers in the Bac Giang province's industrial parks are still working hard.
PM Pham Minh Chinh asked Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces to mobilise the entire political system for effective site clearance, ensure an adequate supply of materials for the projects, and engage mass organisations and the police and military forces in supporting the contractors in the construction sites.
The Government has just issued a national action plan for putting circular economy into practice until 2035.
