Delegation of Bac Giang Provincial People's Council works with Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney, Australia
BAC GIANG - The delegation of the People's Council of Bac Giang province led by Lam Thi Huong Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council paid a working trip in Australia from December 20-24. Within the framework of the program, on December 21, the delegation visited and worked with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney, Australia.

At the meeting, Lam Thi Huong Thanh thanked the Consulate General and the staff for welcoming and working with the delegation. At the same time, she briefed some outstanding results in socio-economic development, emphasized the innovation in attracting investment by preferential policies that have contributed to drawing domestic and foreign investors to invest in the province.
She hoped that the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney would pay attention to connecting investment funds, introducing Australian investors to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in the province; supporting agricultural enterprises in the province to improve their capacity and build brands so that Bac Giang agricultural products can access the Australian market.
Also, the Bac Giang provincial leader called for more activities to promote cooperation in education and training; support Vietnamese workers to have opportunities to be trained, fostered and improve their skills and expertise; participate in training programs associated with job positions, study programs and share experiences of the two countries in the spirit of cooperation and development.
She suggested the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney to create favorable conditions for highly qualified, professional and technical workers from Australia to work at enterprises in Bac Giang province.
At the meeting, Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney Nguyen Thanh Tung highly appreciated the socio-economic development achievements of Bac Giang province over the past years.

He informed about some main socio-economic features, the activities of the Consulate General and the Vietnamese community in Australia together with the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
He said that Bac Giang province needs to pay due attention to some of Australia’s strengths in order to attract investment cooperation.
The Consulate General will strengthen connections with the Australian government and investors to help Bac Giang province attract investment cooperation effectively; act as a bridge to connect with businesses and bring the province’s typical products to the Australian market; support the province in training high-quality human resources.

BAC GIANG - The progress of public investment disbursement in the province these months has gained positive changes with higher results than the national average rate. The related departments and localities in the province are concentrating on removing obstacles in some projects and striving to fulfill 100 percent of the 2024 disbursement plan.
