Xuan Lung - Thac Nga Festival preserves fine customs
BAC GIANG - Xuan Luong commune People's Committee on February 16 (lunar January 19) held the opening ceremony of Xuan Lung - Thac Nga traditional festival at Xuan Lung communal house, Xuan Luong commune (Yen The district of Bac Giang province).
As a mountainous commune, the proportion of ethnic minorities accounts for more than 35%. Currently, Xuan Luong still preserves many unique customs, practices, and production of the ethnic minorities such as Sinh ca singing, lullabies of the Cao Lan people; Then singing, Luon singing of the Tay people; Sli singing of the Nung people...

Up to now, Xuan Lung - Thac Nga spiritual and ecotourism area has been established with many attractive destinations such as complex of Xuan Lung communal house, pagoda and ancient well; green lim trees, stilt houses, green tea area of Ven village...
In particular, the eco-cultural tourism product of Ven village of Than Truong Cooperative was rated three star under the One Commune One Product programme (OCOP).
This was the 8th year that the Xuan Lung - Thac Nga festival has been held to introduce and promote the potential and strengths of cultural, sports, tourism development and the cultural heritage values of ethnic groups in the commune.

In addition to traditional activities such as procession of the god's palanquin, incense offering, folk games (Con throwing, blindfolded pig catching, blindfolded drumming, swinging), the People's Committee of the commune organized many cultural and sports activities such as art exchange, volleyball competition, goat fighting, tug of war, chess, Chinese chess... thereby creating a joyful and healthy playground for the majority of people and tourists.
